Local Family Friendly Attractions

The Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm is located in Tamworth Village, New Hampshire, a
charming New England village located in north­central New Hampshire. Come and explore our exhibits, take a guided farm tour, visit our farm animals, enjoy a farm fresh dinner, hike our scenic walking trails, shop the gift store and more! Hundred Acre Woods Open from 9am-­4pm most days
The Trails in the Wood trail system was developed for the purpose of education and recreational opportunities. The trails were designed with the following in mind: Walking, XC skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, maple sugaring, and nature observation. Take your family through the trails in the Hundred Acre Wood. As you walk along the Storybook Trail you can read different parts of a story with your children! The Conway Scenic Railroad
Enjoy an old ­fashioned railroading experience on vintage trains, all departing from our 1874 station in North Conway Village. This is a 1 hour 45 minute round trip train ride from North Conway to Bartlett Village and back again. Check out www.conwayscenic.com for more information!

The Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center An interactive science museum that brings the wonder of the atmosphere right to your fingertips! Explore the science of climate and weather through fun, interactive exhibits like our air cannon, flow tank and wind room. Plus, meet and interact with the hardy observers living and working in our summit weather station through a twice daily live video link At 11:15 and 2:15. The Mount Washington Cog Railroad THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME! The Mount Washington Cog Railway, the world’s first
mountain ­climbing cog railway, has been carrying passengers to the 6,288′ summit of the Northeast’s highest peak since 1869. This 3­hour journey will take you on some of the steepest railway tracks in the world. You will witness some of New England’s most breathtaking scenery ­from the alpine forest and unique tundra region above treeline to the rugged terrain of the Presidential Range. Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center Imagine mountain biking at the base of Mt. Washington on beautiful rolling carriage roads and
challenging trails surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest and Northern Presidential Mountains. Our diverse system crosses beautiful fields, scenic rivers, and beaver bogs. Rent a bike or bring your own. Or just come to Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center and enjoy an easy hike with the family along gentle trails in the shadow of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range. Ham Arena Ice Skating
The Ham Arena is a fun activity for the whole family! Admission prices are $7 for adults, $6 for children 14 & under
